On a lovely spring day at the Historic Kentlands Mansion, Catering by Seasons celebrated diversity in all forms, when we catered the same-sex wedding of our beautiful brides; one Persian, one Jewish with a bit of Scottish thrown in for good measure. Tradition was honored, but with a modern twist as both brides broke the glass under the chuppah and the sofreh table featured the Torah and custom-made Ketubah and the Scottish Handfasting ceremony was performed right after the Kiddush by the nieces of one of the brides.
The delicious meal prepared by Chef Kyle and the Catering by Seasons team took its inspiration from our brides.
Asparagus-rolled puff pastries were the perfect sweet and savory combination for this spring wedding and our signature caprese skewers with grape tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil and balsamic drizzle were impossible to pass up.
Cranberry and butternut squash bruschetta bring the flavors of the farm to high-end bite sized cuisine!
And our falafel bites were a hit of the party – such a modern take on a Middle Eastern classic.
A beautiful spring greens salad with radishes and spinach from our partners at Groundworks Farm paired perfectly with our sweet and savory watermelon gazpacho.
For the main course, Chef Kyle Vermeulen served up a flavorful pomegranate roasted salmon with green beans and Moroccan rice.
The no-fuss kids’ meal featured our delicious (and nutritious!) macaroni and cheese, roasted broccoli and all-natural apple sauce, prepared fresh in our kitchen. This is definitely the way to go for weddings with a lot of young guests!
The dessert bar featured a fabulous assortment of treats. Cupcakes, brownie pops, classic cannolis, dessert shots and fresh fruit skewers were all displayed around a traditional wedding cake. Yum!
Having a dessert bar allows all of your guests to find something that fits their tastes and dietary restrictions. Fruit skewers are a great and flavorful addition for any spring wedding!
It was a pleasure catering your event and we wish you both a lifetime of happiness!
A special thanks to all of our fantastic vendors:
